Alex Ochoa B.S., USAW, Movement Therapist, Health & Strength and Conditioning Coach
I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from California State University of Fullerton with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning. I earned certifications as an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, Functional Movement Screen Specialist, USA Weightlifting Performance Coach, and USA Track and Field Coach. I have 6.5 years of military experience in the U.S Army. I was part of the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) 25th Infantry Division. I was part of the only Arctic Airborne Field Artillery Unit in the world. As a member of the U.S Army I was able to learn how my body is able to adapt to different situations and for that reason, I am a big believer that in order live well you have to move well.
I’ve applied my passion for movement and performance to working with athletes of all levels. My experience with rotational training has allowed me to work with travel baseball programs in Orange County, MLB, and NPF. After graduating from CSUF I had an opportunity to work at a Sports Medicine Facility where I was able to work with collegiate athletes, Firefighters, and professional athletes from MLS NBA, NFL, and assisted in one NBA Combine and two NFL Combine Prep Training programs.
My performance training services are geared toward providing the edge necessary to move pain-free by prioritize quality of movement over quantity of exercise in order to develop movement ability. I work with top-performing professional and amateur athletes across multiple sports and have been able to define and create an integrated approach for developing superior performance. My focus is on identifying deficiencies that limit a potential performance and eliminating them to enable maximum capability.
